Coastal Cypress Log Cabins is a family owned and operated company. Our logs are milled from the bug and rot-resistant cypress tree. All logs are cut from the heart of the tree. The cypress tree is naturally saturated throughout the heart of the tree with the tree's natural oil (Cypressene). Cypressene oil and slow growth make the cypress log a very durable and stable log for your log home. The tight grain found within the log means that there will be very little shrinkage. Shrinkage comes from the drying of the area between the growth rings. This area is called the sapwood. A cypress log shrinks on an average of  1/4" over an 8' wall. The beautiful golden honey color of the wood makes for a very warm atmosphere inside the home. We have quite a few models available and more to come.
